The Faculty of Tourism at Van Lang University proudly presented an international academic seminar called "AI Ethics in Learning, Teaching & Research, Insights from Australia" on May 19, 2025.

This virtual event drew active involvement from our instructors, staff, graduate and undergraduate students, as well as respected guests from many university departments. Dr. Marcela Fang, Associate Professor in Leadership from Australia, led the discussion, which offered insightful analysis of how artificial intelligence is ethically being incorporated into research settings and institutions. Practical case studies that put a balance between innovation and academic ethics motivated participants from AI mentality to real-world applications to academic integrity.

Among the main points from the seminar were:

 A deeper knowledge of the ethical frameworks and hazards of artificial intelligence in education

 Exposure to the best international practices and challenges in AI implementation

 Opportunities for interactive learning and peer exchange

 Reflections on how AI can be responsibly adapted to Vietnamese higher education contexts

This initiative directly advances the Faculty's internal training on digital skills and technology innovations in education and training. While being faithful to our standards of academic excellence and social responsibility, the Faculty of Tourism continues to be dedicated to promoting worldwide cooperation and welcoming innovation.

Nguyen Hai Trieu An, Master's student of Tourism and Travel Services Management. Course: 2024 - 2026, said: "How to use AI ethically in learning and teaching", I have collected some more AI tools to support teaching and scientific research. Besides, ethics in using AI is a hot issue and I have the opportunity to learn more through the topic. I thank the Faculty of Tourism for organizing this useful sharing session, helping graduate students like me to have more confidence in completing the research topic."
