Exploring Career Development Trends for Students of the Faculty of Mechanical - Electrical & Computer Engineering

On October 29, 2024, the Faculty of Mechanical - Electrical & Computer Engineering at Van Lang University organized a career orientation session titled "Technology Trends and Career Opportunities in Energy, Electronics, and Automation." The program provided in-depth analyses of recruitment demands and job positions aligned with the aspirations of students pursuing careers in technical fields.

Discussing the topic of industries facing a "talent drought" and evolving with technological trends, Mr. Than Tan Tai, Director of the Electrical Equipment Division at Siemens Vietnam’s Smart Infrastructure Department, shared insights into the development potential of sectors related to automation and smart infrastructure. The guest speaker emphasized the importance of Siemens Vietnam's Net Zero goal to enhance technological quality, reduce pollution, and ensure sustainable development in the new era. 

In the session “Renewable Energy: Opportunities and Challenges for Young Engineers,” Dr. Dang Manh Cuong, Director of Green Energy Engineering Co., Ltd., noted that young engineers today have numerous career development opportunities in the field of renewable energy. However, they also face challenges such as a lack of practical experience and the ability to keep up with technological advancements. To address these limitations, the speaker shared practical insights and provided effective solutions for the students.

The career orientation session provided students of the Faculty of Mechanical - Electrical and Computer Engineering with deeper insights into industry development trends and the essential skills required for success. Thereby, students can feel more confident in choosing a career path that aligns with their abilities and interests.
