Experts from Van Lang University were present at the event "Hue City Development: Different Perspectives"

Joining the bustling atmosphere of Hue Festival week, 03 experts from Van Lang University (VLU) were present at the Talkshow "Hue City Development: Different Perspectives" organized by Hue University (HUIS) on 25/06/2022.  

With a rich culture and long history, the ancient capital of Hue is proud to be a typical ASEAN cultural city, a key economic center in the Central region, as well as a tourist destination with dreamy and attractive beauty. The talk show "Hue City Development: Different Perspectives" was organized to share many interesting perspectives on the topic of Hue City development. Next to the host is Dr. Tran Xuan Thao – Doctor of Education Management at the University of Pennsylvania (USA). The talk show welcomed 03 speakers from Van Lang University: 

• Dr. Vu Viet Ngoan – an expert in economic and financial development and a member of the University Board of Van Lang University;  
• Dr. Ho Quoc Hung – Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Social & Humanities, Head of Applied Literature;  
• Poet Nguyen Duy – Chairman of Van Lang Cultural Club.  

As people who cherish and dedicate a lot of enthusiasm to the study of Vietnamese culture, experts discussed together the development potential of Hue city in the new era; mentioning considerable points in the process of both building a strong economy and ensuring the preservation of the long-standing heritage here. 

According to Dr. Vu Viet Ngoan, with its charming natural beauty, diverse cuisine, and the investment of the State, Hue makes visitors visually satisfied, meeting the requirements of creating interesting experiences that business people want to bring to their customers. He said that Hue's development potential is huge; however, we also need to focus on expanding economic thinking, and strengthening promotional activities to create practical development values.

Concuring with Dr. Vu Viet Ngoan, Dr. Ho Quoc Hung - Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Social and Humanities of Van Lang University said that the fact that Hue still retains its own beauty has helped this place bring a special mark in the hearts of tourists, not being intermingled with other big cities. Within the framework of the talk, the poet Nguyen Duy and Dr. Tran Xuan Thao mentioned Hue as an endless source of inspiration for his works. In the heart of the ancient capital, encompassed many memories, and the artists' souls are filled with emotions to make poetry such as the poems "To Hue", "Remember You" or the collection "Untold Stories about Hue". 

Held on a special occasion, the talkshow "Hue City Development: Different Perspectives" not only opens up an academic and cultural space, connecting Van Lang University with Hue University, but also contributes to the series of activities to bring the atmosphere of Hue Festival back to the community after a long time of "missing appointments" due to the epidemic.
