Exhibition "Dau An" 2024: The Essence of Creative Thinking and Digital Art
To create a display space for students’ projects, on September 14, 2024, the Faculty of Arts & Design at Van Lang University organized the "Dau An" exhibition, attracting a large participation of experts, lecturers, and art-loving students. With over 130 displayed works related to Visual Graphics and Character Design, the event allows students to showcase groundbreaking ideas about character sculptures and artistic layer box products.
In his opening speech, Mr. Le Truong Bao - Head of the Digital Art & Design Department, emotionally shared: “The products not only create high artistic value but are also the result of a creative thinking process and self-discipline through each stage of learning. From the practical experiences of the Character Design course, students have the opportunity to enhance their conceptual thinking, gain a multidimensional understanding of characters, and build a solid foundation for further learning and experiences in the future."
Dr. Nguyen Dac Thai - Vice Dean of Faculty of Arts & Design observed significant improvements in students' work from simple layer boxes to complex and sophisticated sculptures. Particularly, Dr, Thai expressed pride in witnessing the strong transformation of the Digital Art & Design field and hopes to see more intricate and creative sculptures in the future. Adding more about the works displayed at the event, Mr. Nguyen Van Pham - Lecturer of the Faculty of Arts and Design mentioned that the works were carefully selected by the faculty after students sketched ideas from 2D versions and developed them into 3D. He also affirmed that this event is an opportunity for students to express their personalities, build a spirit of learning, sharing, and development.
The ribbon cutting ceremony to inaugurate the exhibition "Dau An" 2024 marks an important milestone in the creative journey of the faculty and students of the Faculty of Arts & Design. With meaningful stories woven into each work, this is an occasion for lecturers and guests to admire and feel the passionate enthusiasm of the students. Many visiting students expressed their joy and pride in viewing the unique works.
The "Dau An" 2024 exhibition concluded in an exciting and inspiring atmosphere. Under the passionate guidance of lecturers and the continuous efforts of students, the Digital Art & Design Department at Van Lang University continues to solidify its position. In the near future, the Faculty of Arts & Design will actively organize more meaningful activities to enhance students' creative thinking abilities, thereby developing bold ideas and personal mark in the design and creative fields.
