Speaking at the event, writer Dong Xi shared: “I don’t hope that you read a lot, but rather that you know how to enjoy reading. Because reading not only broadens our knowledge but also nurtures the soul, helping us understand ourselves and others better. I hope that after today’s gathering, a love for literature will be sparked within each of you — even if it’s just a small glimmer, it can still light the path on your journey to growth.”

During the exchange session, VLU students raised many questions related to the translation process, challenges in writing, as well as the connection between Vietnamese and Chinese cultures in literature. The speakers' shares helped shed light on various professional and cultural aspects, creating a lively and engaging discussion atmosphere. On this occasion, the program also gifted more than 100 books published by Chibooks to participating students.

The writer Dong Xi, whose real name is Tian Dalin, was born in 1966 in Guangxi, China.
