Discovering Art and Fashion Design Innovation Talkshow

(VLU, 06/6/2023) - On June 5, 2023, the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design organized the talk show Blockchain ArtTech: Discovering Art and Fashion Design Innovation, aiming to assist students in exploring technology solutions and applying those to fashion products.

Blockchain ArtTech Talkshow is an activity within the framework of the 8:30 project - a "special course"  for Van Lang University's fashion design students to help them keep up with new trends, connect with experts, and get experience and creative inspiration. The program has the participation of speakers: XNO designer Bui - Founder of digital Ortho Fashion, and Designers. Le Thanh Hoa, Executive Director, Brand Creative Director of Le Thanh Hoa, Architect. Do Nam - Whydah CTO and Architect. Lam Nguyen - Coaching Design Thinking.

Talkshow took place with many exciting discussion topics about the applications of blockchain, web3, and NFT in art design through digital fashion and metaverse projects. At the discussion, the speakers shared that in the context that the concepts of blockchain and web3 are becoming more popular, it is necessary to study and apply technology in the professional field, not only in finance but also in design and art and others.
In April 2023, Fashion Design announced a new specialized major - Branding and Fashion Management. Thoroughly understanding Artech Blockchain aids will help young people develop their brands. In addition, the speakers also introduced the digital space, expanding students' knowledge when applying technology in fashion. Ms.XNO Bui said: "The appearance of digital fashion brings many benefits. It enables us to express ourselves more freely while maintaining the sustainability of fashion. I think that students will have opportunities thanks to technology."

Blockchain ArtTech Talkshow provides students with practical knowledge and experiences, which they apply in their learning process. It also connects students with professionals and motivates young people to actively study digital technology and digital fashion. These are two crucial elements that will help develop sustainable values in the field of design in the future.
