Developing the academic faculty: Van Lang University welcomes four newly appointed Associate Professors

On the morning of December 17, 2025, Van Lang University held a ceremony to congratulate four newly appointed Associate Professors recognized by the State Council for Professorship. This event honors their academic journey and dedication to their respective fields. The University currently gathers a team of nearly 800 Professors, Associate Professors, and Doctors participating in teaching, research, and professional leadership across various disciplines. This team includes leading experts and international specialists, contributing to building an international-standard educational environment in Vietnam.

Van Lang University respectfully congratulates the four faculty members appointed to the title of Associate Professor:
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Ngoc Quang Phi – Head of the Faculties of Health Sciences, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Hung Lam – Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phung Thai Minh Trang – Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Finance and Banking.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Thi Hong Van – Faculty of Finance and Banking.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Ngoc Quang Phi is one of the founding lecturers who participated in establishing the Faculty of Dentistry at Van Lang University. Having graduated as Valedictorian from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy at Ho Chi Minh City and received advanced training in temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders in the United States, he, together with the Faculty, has progressively refined the training curriculum, developed the staff, and enhanced the quality of professional activities.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Hung Lam graduated from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy at Ho Chi Minh City and successfully defended his Doctoral thesis in Dentistry with Excellence at Aix-Marseille University (France). With over 15 years of experience, he has taught and disseminated advanced dental treatment methods, helping to improve treatment efficacy in Vietnam.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phung Thai Minh Trang obtained her PhD in Finance from Massey University (New Zealand). Her research focuses on behavioral finance, investor behavior, fintech, and human resource development in the context of the digital economy, with numerous scientific publications both domestically and internationally.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Thi Hong Van successfully defended her Doctoral thesis at the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City. She possesses many years of experience in teaching, compiling textbooks, and developing learning materials to serve students in the Business & Management sector.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi My Dieu, President of Van Lang University, emphasized that the appointment of these faculty members as Associate Professors is the result of a persistent academic journey, tightly combining teaching, scientific research, and community service. The University is currently building a next-generation academic workforce, aiming to develop more leading experts, thereby consolidating and sustainably positioning the faculties, divisions, and the entire Institution.
