Opening today, March 19, 2026, the “Dzeng - Design Showcase 2026” presents the creative research and field results of Intake 29 Fashion Design students. This showcase reflects a contemporary youth perspective on the Ta Oi community's cultural heritage through the lens of Design Thinking. Rather than merely replicating forms, students analyzed the inherent logic and traditional weaving techniques to develop modern concepts - demonstrating a sophisticated ability to transform field materials into a timely creative language while honoring original values.

The featured designs strike a balance between modern garment structures and distinctive brocade patterns, showcasing the students' growth in translating heritage materials into contemporary aesthetics. This exhibition is the culmination of a field trip to A Luoi (Hue) in February 2026, where students studied traditional techniques alongside Ta Oi artisans and engaged in community projects for local children. These authentic observations and experiences have been distilled into highly applicable designs, reflecting a responsible and profound creative mindset.
