Delegation from National Economics University Visits Van Lang University for Quality Assurance Discussions

On the afternoon of November 10, 2023, a delegation from the National Economics University (NEU) visited Van Lang University (VLU) to discuss experiences and best practices in establishing an internal quality assurance system and conducting educational institution accreditation according to FIBAA standards. The visit also included a campus tour of VLU’s facilities.

Representing Van Lang University at the meeting was the Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi My Dieu, President of the University; Dr. Nguyen Huu Cuong, Director of the Quality Assurance Department; Mr. Nguyen Chi Hieu (MA), Chief of the President’s Office; Mr. Phan Nhat Linh (MA), Vice-Director of the Testing and Assessment Center; and Mr. Vu Quang Ha (MA), Vice-Director of the Academic Affairs Department, along with several specialists from the Quality Assurance Department.

The delegation from NEU included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong, Vice President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ho Dinh Bao, Director of the Personnel Department; Dr. Vu Van Ngoc, Director of the Advanced, High-Quality, and POHE Programs Institute; Dr. Dam Son Toai, Director of the Testing and Quality Assurance Department; Dr. Le Anh Duc, Vice-Director of the Training Management Department; and Mr. Le Xuan Tung, Senior Specialist in the Testing and Quality Assurance Department.

At the working session, Dr. Nguyen Huu Cuong presented an "Overview Report on the Internal Quality Assurance System and Improvement Results at Van Lang University" and discussed “Educational Institution Accreditation According to FIBAA Standards.”

Following the presentation, representatives from both institutions engaged in discussions on internal quality assurance practices and considerations when implementing educational institution accreditation under FIBAA standards.

As part of the visit, the NEU delegation toured VLU’s facilities, noting that VLU is one of the universities with the most state-of-the-art facilities in Vietnam. They highlighted the well-planned investment in lecture halls, classrooms, laboratories, libraries, dormitories, and other facilities that support students' learning, research, and living needs.

The visit and working session of the NEU delegation at VLU contributed to strengthening the cooperative relationship between the two universities. Both sides commit to continued collaboration, sharing experiences, and supporting each other in training, scientific research, and ensuring educational quality.
