On April 10, 2025, Van Lang University hosted the Cultural Exchange Program, an international cultural exchange event between students from the Honors Program (Specialized Training Program) and a delegation of students from Politeknik Muadzam Shah (Malaysia). The event aimed to strengthen educational cooperation while creating a multicultural learning environment with practical experiences for students from both institutions.

The program opened with a flag-raising ceremony for the national flags of Vietnam and Malaysia, followed by a solemn prayer led by Malaysian student Aidi Nazrin. In their speeches, Mr. Tran Luu Phuong Nam, Deputy Head of the Department of Cooperation and Partnerships at Van Lang University, and representatives from Politeknik Muadzam Shah affirmed their commitment to long-term collaboration in education, student exchange, and multicultural development.

Van Lang students warmly welcomed the Malaysian delegation with a performance of the song and dance piece “Hello Vietnam.” The soft elegance of the traditional ao dai and the tender, heartfelt melody created a vivid, graceful image of Vietnam. Following that, the Malaysian students brought an energetic, vibrant atmosphere through a traditional dance performance featuring colorful costumes and powerful, precise movements - a complete portrayal of the cultural richness of Pahang.

Malaysian students passionately promoted their culture through a vibrant performance.

Additionally, the program encouraged students from both countries to introduce regional cultural highlights and famous landmarks. The Malaysian students proudly shared about Taman Negara National Park, the Cameron Highlands, and the unique flavors of dishes like Sambal Hita. Meanwhile, Van Lang students excitedly presented traditional cultural elements and engaged the audience with fun trivia questions to strengthen connections between the two groups.

Engaging activities brought students from both countries closer together.

The Cultural Exchange Program served as a platform for students from both nations to meet,  communicate, and experience each other’s cultures in a real-world setting. It helped broaden perspectives, nurture a spirit of learning, and enhance adaptability in the context of globalization. These are the core values that Van Lang University’s Honors Program strives to uphold in its mission to train the next generation of global citizens.
