On March 29, 2025, the Faculty of Commerce - Van Lang University, in collaboration with the Standing Committee of the Mo Cay District Youth Union and the Vietnam Youth Federation of Mo Cay District (Ben Tre Province), organized the program "Entrepreneurship Training for Young Economic Actors and Career Orientation for Secondary and High School Students" in the local area.
The Faculty of Commerce meticulously designed the event, aligning with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goal 4: ensuring inclusive, equitable, and quality education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all. The program specifically aimed to foster career readiness, employment skills, and an entrepreneurial mindset among the youth.
Experienced faculty members from the Faculty of Commerce provided insightful sessions on entrepreneurship, equipping local union members, youth, and students in Mo Cay Nam with practical knowledge to confidently contribute to the local economy. Additionally, the lecturers enthusiastically offered career counseling and shared appropriate admission information based on the participants' competencies, interests, and aspirations.
Furthermore, the Faculty of Commerce awarded 10 scholarships and 20 gift packages to a total of 30 officers, youth union members, and students from disadvantaged backgrounds in Mo Cay Nam District, with a total sponsorship value of 11 million VND.
This program served as a valuable platform for local officers, youth union members, students, and businesses to interact, exchange ideas, and gain insights into entrepreneurial skills. It also contributed to raising career awareness and hands-on experience, thereby encouraging young individuals to take on a pioneering and proactive role in their learning, personal development, work, production, creativity, and entrepreneurship.
