After four days of solemn and urgent official surveying, on the afternoon of June 30, 2025, Van Lang University held the closing session of the official survey for external evaluation of five undergraduate programs: Industrial Design, Pharmacy, Vocal Performance, Restaurant and Food Service Management, and Chinese Language. The survey was conducted by a team of external evaluation experts from the Center for Education Accreditation - The University of Danang (CEA-UD) from June 27 to June 30, 2025.

Prof. Dr. Bui Van Ga, Head of the External Evaluation Team, presented a summary report on the preliminary results of the official survey.

During the four official working days at Van Lang University, the External Evaluation Team compared the training activities of the five programs against 11 standards and 50 criteria according to Circular No. 04/2016/TT-BGDDT by the Ministry of Education and Training on quality assessment standards for higher education programs. They conducted interviews and discussions with eight groups of stakeholders, totaling 337 individuals, including school leaders, administrative staff, faculty members, students, alumni, and employers. Additionally, the team surveyed 227 graduates regarding employment status, training programs, learning outcomes, teaching activities, and the support staff's attitude; they also conducted site observations, attended classes, and checked the accuracy of evidence.

Based on the evidence review and discussions with stakeholders, the External Evaluation Team noted that Van Lang University has an effective governance system and KPIs; the leadership, management team, and faculty work professionally, responsibly, and passionately to build the university's reputation; the internal quality assurance system operates smoothly, and the University strives to appear in prestigious global university rankings; the training programs are advanced, referencing programs from developed countries; students are educated in a standard pedagogical environment, with international exposure, comprehensive development, strong professional knowledge and soft skills, etc.

The detailed report from the External Evaluation Team provided an overview for the leadership of Van Lang University, identifying strengths and weaknesses, and building a pathway for improvement and enhancement of the five specific training programs, as well as over 60 undergraduate programs, 17 graduate programs, and more than 30 international collaborative programs. Van Lang University continues to strive towards the vision of becoming one of the most admired young universities in Asia by 2023.

At the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi My Dieu, President of Van Lang University, expressed appreciation and gratitude to the External Evaluation Team for their dedication and impartiality in providing a detailed, comprehensive, accurate, and persuasive evaluation report.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi My Dieu and Prof. Dr. Bui Van Ga signed the Completion Report of the Official Survey for External Evaluation at Van Lang University in the presence of representatives from the Center for Education Accreditation - The University of Danang (CEA-UD), the External Evaluation Team, and Van Lang University's University Council and Administrators.

As of July 2025, Van Lang University has 23 undergraduate and graduate programs accredited by the national educational quality accreditation, with six undergraduate programs meeting AUN-QA standards (the ASEAN University Network - Quality Assurance). Specifically:
