Closing ceremony of the official survey to accredit the quality of educational programmes for three undergraduate programmes at Van Lang University (VLU)

On the morning of March 14, 2023, the external evaluation team from the Center for Education Accreditation (CEA) at Vinh University attended the Closing Ceremony and signed the completion of the official survey to serve the external assessment of three master's programs at Van Lang University.

On March 14th, 2023, Van Lang University held the Closing Ceremony for the official survey serving the external assessment of the quality of 03 Master's programs: Architecture, Business Administration, and Finance and Banking. Van Lang University currently offers 14 Master's programs, including the first three programs undergoing quality accreditation in this assessment round.

On the site of the Center for Education Accreditation (CEA) - Vinh University (VU) and the Assessment team, there were Dr. Tran Dinh Quang - Director of VU-CEA, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Duy Cam - Rector of Hanoi University of Science, Head of the External Evaluation team.

At the closing ceremony, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Bui Duy Cam briefly summarized the assessment process during the five working days at Van Lang University (10-14/03/2023). The external evaluation team has provided detailed reports on 03 Master's curriculum in Architecture, Business Administration, Finance & Banking, based on the PDCA cycle approach around four stages:

(Plan) Establish objectives and processes required to deliver the desired results.
(Do) Carry out the objectives from the previous step.
(Check) The data and results gathered from the do phase are evaluated.
(Act) This act phase is where a process is improved.

The external evaluation team has identified general highlights of VLU's Master's program, including the innovative spirit, the improved quality of the faculty and staff due to effective recruitment and training policies, and the significantly enhanced quality of the curriculum after being reviewed and adjusted. However, the evaluation team has proposed improvements in 11 evaluation criteria, in which the university needs to focus on completing and designing a matrix that ensures specific differentiation of learning outcomes.

As part of the event, Dr. Tran Dinh Quang - Director of VU-CEA, thanked the members of the External Evaluation Team, as well as the Board, staff, lecturers, alumni, and partners of Van Lang University, for their dedicated and enthusiastic work during the evaluation period in order to complete the official survey.

At the end of the Closing Ceremony, Assoc.Prof. Dr. Tran Thi My Dieu - Former President of Van Lang University, Assoc. Dr. Tran Dinh Quang and Assoc. Dr. Bui Duy Cam signed the minutes of completion of the official survey for the evaluation of three Master's degree programs in Architecture, Business Administration, and Finance and Banking at Van Lang University in the presence of the External Evaluation Team, the University Council, and the Board of Van Lang University.

The external evaluation team’s results will provide a foundation for the Master’s program in Business Administration, Architecture, and Banking and Finance to enhance the education quality. Additionally, the results will certify that Van Lang University has been recognized to meet the national accreditation standard.
