Closing ceremony of the external evaluation for six undergraduate programs

During the 5-day on-site visit from October 17 to October 21, 2023, the external evaluation expert delegation conducted activities such as verification, assessment of evidence documents, interviews with officials, lecturers, and students, as well as facility observation. These activities aimed to provide an objective assessment of the quality standards for six undergraduate programs: Public Relations, Literature, Oriental Studies, Psychology, Economic Law, and Software Engineering.

The external evaluation expert delegation presented the evaluation results report for the accreditation of six undergraduate programs based on the Ministry of Education and Training accreditation standards, consisting of 11 criteria and 50 sub-criteria distributed across program, training activities, resources, and outcomes according to AUN-QA version 3.0. The report of the external evaluation team clearly stated the strengths of the University and the recommendations for the University to improve the quality. The outstanding points in the general evaluation of the assessment team are the mission, educational philosophy, the investment in modern equipment and facilities to create a quality learning environment for learners, and the employment rate of students.

At the closing ceremony held this morning (October 21, 2023), Meritorious Teacher, Dr. Nguyen Kim Dung, the Director of the Saigon Center for Education Accreditation and Chairperson of the External Evaluation Delegation, stated: "The closing ceremony at Van Lang University has become a forum for the evaluation delegation to work with the University's leaders, managers, lecturers, and staff on the action plans that will be implemented in the near future. Through this round of accreditation, we can see the seriousness and enthusiasm of the University's leaders and 6 programs participating in the accreditation, demonstrating our commitment to Van Lang University, society, learners and employers. We firmly believe that the training quality of Van Lang University will not stay still at a certain level but will continue to improve and develop”.
