On May 14, 2025, the Faculty of Mechanical - Electrical & Computer Engineering, Van Lang University (VLU), organized a Graduation thesis defense ceremony for Class 27 students majoring in Data Science. This marked a crucial milestone in the students' learning and research path, demonstrating their maturity and self-development.

With careful preparation, the graduation thesis defense presentations of Class 27 student groups majoring in Data Science this year were evaluated by the Committee as highly academic, meeting the requirements of professional knowledge, and being invested in both knowledge and time. Some topics have practical applications and are well implemented by the students, reflecting the efforts and hard work they have put in during the research process.


One of the outstanding topics that can be mentioned is “Research on the artificial intelligence models in electrocardiogram signal reconstruction” by Phan Nhat Anh and Chau Bao Nghi. This work was evaluated by the Committee as a practical topic, creative research methods, with in-depth knowledge that meets the requirements for a thesis. In particular, when the thesis is fully completed, the two students will upload it to SAGE Publishing, one of the leading academic publishers in the world, aiming to share knowledge and contribute to the data resource, promoting practical applications and setting a positive impact on many fields such as technology, health, society, economy, education, public management, etc.

Giving comments on the Class 27’s students’ thesis defense this year, MSc. Huynh Phuoc Danh, Lecturer of the Department of Software Engineering subject, expressed: All topics that were chosen and presented by the students exceeded expectations. Various skills were utilized in these theses: comparison, contrast, criticism, reference to previous published research documents of other authors in expertized magazines. The chosen topics relate to general knowledge and practical comparison.

The thesis defense session of the Class 27 students majoring in Data Science ended successfully with praising reviews and valuable suggestions. This sets a premise for the students to keep completing their group graduation theses, as well as helps them gain more confidence in the upcoming research and study process.
