The students eagerly presented their ideas and models.

Nguyen Minh Tam and Ta Dac Thien Phu, students of Mechatronics, earned the highest score (9.4) with their project titled “Research and Creation of a Vehicle Body Electrical System Model Using Arduino.” Their model focused on designing and building a central control unit, acting as the "brain" for the entire system, which performed stably across all developed systems.

The duo shared insights into their journey to success: Besides foundational knowledge in automotive electronics and mechatronics, hands-on experience from model creation during scientific research projects and competitions like Minicar Racing and the KOT Club contributed significantly. Vitally, the dedicated support from their advisor played an essential role in completing their project. The main challenge they faced was developing the central control unit; with the model incorporating numerous sensors, meticulous calculations and setups were necessary to prevent software conflicts.

Dr. Pham Van Kien, Head of the Automotive Engineering Major and Chair of Council 3, highly commended the quality of students' projects.

Dr. Pham Van Kien shared, “The Class 26 students of Automotive Engineering Technology that participated in today’s defense demonstrated a serious approach both in their presentations and during the Q&A sessions. Although there were some minor errors during preparation, overall, their performances were admirable. The students not only showcased their technical expertise but also their ability to apply knowledge to real-world situations. The venue was thoroughly prepared. Despite working under intense conditions for extended periods, the evaluators made genuine efforts to provide detailed assessments for each group and individual, offering valuable advice for the students’ future growth.”

The graduation project defense is not just an important examination of technical competency but also an opportunity for students to present their initial research efforts. It marks the beginning of their career journey in the automotive industry. Congratulations once again to Class 26 of Automotive Engineering Technology for reaching the finish line of their university journey.
