Career Orientation Program for Faculty of Law Students: Positioning Yourself in the Job Market

On December 24, 2024, the Faculty of Law at Van Lang University organized the event "Internship Guidelines and Regulations for Semester 242," combined with the career-oriented seminar "Legal Insight No.2 – Positioning Yourself in the Job Market."

The program aimed to help students from Class 27 and Class 28 understand the internship requirements and plans for Semester 242. It also provided practical insights into the legal profession within a competitive labor market, enabling students to clearly navigate and choose a path best aligned with their skills and aspirations.

The program consisted of two sessions: Session 1  focused on detailed instructions regarding the internship plans and regulations for Semester 242. Students were introduced to the internship process, preparation steps, and reporting requirements, equipping them with the essential knowledge to transition with confidence into a professional work environment.

Session 2, titled "Legal Insight No.2," provided students with information about career opportunities in the legal field. With the participation of prominent speakers; including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Anh Thuy - Dean of the Faculty of Law at Van Lang University, Senior Judge Nguyen Dac Minh - Deputy Chief Judge of the Family and Juvenile Court, High People’s Court in Ho Chi Minh City, and Dr. Nguyen Gia Vien - Deputy Director of Institute 2, Supreme People’s Procuracy in Ho Chi Minh City, along with the lecturers in the Faculty of Law. They offered valuable advice on the profession's demands and labor market trends, helping students identify suitable career paths and prepare for future job opportunities.

The program is expected to motivate students of the Faculty of Law to have a meaningful internship, achieve outstanding results, develop essential skills, and gain practical experience and specialized knowledge for their future careers.
