At the “Business Simulation” Exhibition on November 30, 2024, over 300 K27 students of Hotel Management, Restaurant and Food Service Management, and Tourism at the Faculty of Tourism showcased 36 unique business projects. All these projects were part of the "Business Management Simulation" course, which students carried out by themselves, from conceptualizing the ideas to implementing and launching the actual products.
Speaking at the opening of the exhibition, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Linh, Deputy Head of the Department of Hotel Management, shared: “This event is a creative playground where students apply the knowledge they have learned into practice. Through this, they not only hone their professional skills but also develop entrepreneurial thinking, preparing a solid foundation for their future.”
36 projects represent a diverse range of business models, from restaurants, cafés, and hotels-homestays to unique tourism tours. What sets these projects apart is that most of them are focused on achieving “green” and “sustainable” business goals, reflecting students’ concern with societal issues. The business models in the hotel and tourism sectors are centered on preserving the local environment, creating job opportunities for communities, and promoting sustainable tourism. Meanwhile, the restaurant models offer a rich culinary journey, ranging from traditional flavors to modern styles, showcasing students’ deep understanding of both Vietnamese and international cuisines.
Regarding the success of the event, Mr. Vo Duc Duy, Lecturer of the Department of Restaurant and Food Service Management, stated: “This event is both a playground and a means of evaluating academic performance, aligning with the educational philosophy of our University, which aims to create a dynamic learning environment that helps students develop holistically and confidently enter the labor market. The students also have the opportunity to meet, interact with, and learn from experienced entrepreneurs and angel investors (simulated) present at the event.”
Each project carried the passion and dedication of its student group.
