Alumni compete at the 2023 Van Lang Alumni Games

On July 16, 2023, the Van Lang University Alumni Association held the Opening Ceremony of the 2023 Van Lang Alumni Games, starting a series of sporting events with the sport of Athletics.

To provide a healthy sports arena for the alumni community, contributing to promoting the image of Van Lang's activities throughout the school's formation and development process, on July 16, 2023, the Van Lang University Alumni Association held the Opening Ceremony of the 2023 Van Lang Alumni Games and competed in the sport of Athletics.

The 2023 Van Lang Alumni Games took place from July 16 to July 30, 2023 with 5 sports, 14 events, and over 200 athletes, including alumni, faculty, lecturers, and staff of Van Lang University, competing.

The Opening Ceremony of the 2023 Van Lang Alumni Games was attended by: Dr. Vo Van Tuan, Party Secretary and Standing Vice President, along with over 100 athletes, including alumni, faculty, lecturers, and staff of the school.

Opening the Games, Dr. Vo Van Tuan, Party Secretary and Standing Vice President of VLU, thanked the alumni for returning to the school and enthusiastically participating in the activities. Dr. Vo Van Tuan shared: “Van Lang is always a home that always welcomes you back after graduation. The journey to return is also an opportunity for you to connect and accompany each other. Throughout the 28-year journey of training, 24 graduating classes, Van Lang always opens its arms to welcome those who have studied and grown under this roof to return together to spread positive values to the next generation. We are proud to be a part of the Van Lang family.”

Within the framework of the first day of the Games, the athletes competed their best in the sport of Athletics, successfully completing the registered distances and crossing the finish line with enthusiasm in the cheering of the fans:

Women's 3km distance:

• First Place: Athlete Tran Thi Huyen Trang
• Second Place: Athlete Nguyen Thi Le Huong
• Third place: Athlete Dao Thao Uyen

Men's 5km distance:

• First Place: Athlete Tran Van Correct
• Second place: Athlete Vu Van Hai
• Third place: Athlete Ho Duc Dung
