On April 15, 2025, Van Lang University of Technology, VLTECH, collaborated with VietJet Airlines to organize “Sky Career Talk, Exploring Career Opportunities in Aviation with VietJet!”, aiming to provide students with a comprehensive overview of recruitment demands in the aviation industry in general and opportunities to work with the company in various positions.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Vo Nguyen Quoc Bao affirmed, “The aviation industry in the Asia-Pacific region holds great growth prospects, expected to account for 40% of approximately 700,000 engineers worldwide in the next 20 years. Therefore, it is crucial for students to receive early orientation and choose the right field they are passionate about, which leads to solid progress in the future. This talkshow is not only an opportunity for students to directly interact with leading enterprises in the industry but also aims at a more important goal, which is to clearly guide their career aspirations after graduation.”
The Aeronautical Engineering training program at Van Lang University is designed with an international standard orientation, integrating in-depth theory with practical industry experience, helping students not only master technical knowledge but also adapt to the rapid changes of modern aviation technology. Through close connections with airlines, aircraft maintenance companies, and ground service units, Aeronautical Engineering students are given early practical experience and opportunities to apply artificial intelligence (AI) and big data analytics technologies used to optimize flight schedules, forecast demand, and improve customer experience, as well as IoT technologies for automated baggage management, passenger recognition, and automated passenger flow control.
“Founded in 2007 with four core values, safety, happiness, affordable price, and punctuality. VietJet proudly leads the low-cost airline market domestically and ranks highly internationally. With the mission to raise the national flag on the global map, VietJet continues to innovate, apply technology to improve and elevate service quality, and always welcomes new generations of talented, creative, and potential-filled youth,” shared Mr. Doan Phu Hieu.
At the “Sky Career Talk” talk show, besides listening to insights from industry veterans, students had the opportunity to ask questions and discuss concerns about aviation job positions, helping them better understand the working environment, challenges, and performance targets in the near future. It is hoped that through this program, the potential “rookies” of Van Lang University’s Aeronautical Engineering field will gain motivation to develop their personal skills and grow more confident on their path to conquering the skies.
