A day of experiential learning at ACB Bank with students of the Faculty of Information Technology

On December 12, 2024, students of the Information Technology major at Van Lang University had a field trip to Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank (ACB) Saigon branch. Here, they gained a deeper understanding of banking activities, experienced corporate culture and interacted with experts in the industry.

Leading the tour, Mr. Ly Trieu Long, Deputy Director of Application Development at ACB Bank, brought an in-depth perspective through the topic "ITers, who are you in the digital world?". The presentation helped students better understand the challenges in the competitive working environment of the industry and highlighted the role of ITers in the business. Accordingly, he gave specific examples of three key positions in ACB – Business Analyst, Developer, and Quality Control – and the career path of each position.

Duong Chi Huy, an Alumnus of Class 26, majoring in Information Technology of Honors Program, shared about his internship at Asia Commercial Bank (ACB). During that time, Chi Huy not only had the opportunity to apply theory to practice but also improved his specialized knowledge and soft skills.

The useful sharing from experts and practical stories from alumni during this study tour and experiential learning provided students with in-depth aspects of the Information Technology industry and helped them equip themselves with a solid foundation for the future. This is an important stepping stone, adding confidence for students to pursue their favorite career.
