A day of experience at the professional shipbuilding workshop of electrical and electronic engineering students

On March 9, 2024, the Faculty of Mechanical-Electrical and Computer Engineering organized a tour for students of Course 28, Course 29 of Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology, to experience at Saigon Shipping & Industry Co.,Ltd. (SAIGON SHIPMARIN). The trip helped students to understand the challenges and prospects of the career they are pursuing when applying in the shipbuilding and maritime industries.

Every year, Van Lang University collaborates with businesses and organizes many tours, workshops and practical experiences for students. This is an important activity in the curriculum of the disciplines that enables students to expand their knowledge, develop skills and work attitudes. Students develop a strong sense of passion, discipline, and understanding of the challenges and opportunities in the field through direct interaction with a professional work environment and through hearing from professionals about their personal experiences. These experiences also help students to shape their future paths for personal growth.

Mr. Nguyen Nam Trung, Head of Quality Management and Technology, introduced the scale and area of the float.

During the second semester of year 1, year 2, students in Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology at Van Lang University will be able to visit Saigon Shipping and Marine Industry Co.,Ltd. - one of the leading enterprises in Vietnam in the rebuilding and repair of ships, drills and marine vehicles. The Management Board warmly welcomed the Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology students and lecturers to the manufacturing areas, where the new ship construction process takes place, the repair and maintenance areas of the ship with advanced equipment, the application of modern technology.

Mr. Nguyen Nam Trung dedicatedly answered the questions of the students of Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology about the equipment of the mechanical factory for the students.

As part of the tour, students will be listening to practical sharing from engineers, experts who have been involved in the field for many years, understanding better about the challenges and prospects of graduates in Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology when deciding to enter the field of shipbuilding and maritime industry.
