Welcome the delegation of students from J.F.Oberlin University (Japan) for a study tour at Van Lang University
On February 8, 2023, the Faculty of Tourism of Van Lang University welcomed a delegation of Japanese lecturers and students from J. F. Oberlin University for a study tour.The attendees at the meeting were● Assoc. Dr. Tran Thi My Dieu, President of Van Lang University● Dr. Le Minh Thanh, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism● MSc. Le Thi Minh Tam, Head of the External Relations Department● MSc. Hoang Ngoc Hien, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Tourism● Dr. Do Manh Hong, Lecturer at J.F. Oberlin and Team Leader● Students from J.F. Oberlin University. During the program, both parties expressed their mutual interest in collaborating and developing valuable cultural exchange programs between J.F. Oberlin University and Van Lang University in particular, as well as Japan and Vietnam in general. This will provide opportunities for VLU’s students, especially those studying Japanese language and culture, as well as those in the tourism industry, to broaden their knowledge, gain personal experiences, and enhance their foreign language proficiency, thus inspiring their pursuit of knowledge.Dr. Le Minh Thanh, the Dean of Faculty of Tourism shared: "The program provides a valuable opportunity for students from both universities to meet, learn, and exchange cultures between Vietnam and Japan. Through this trip, students will have a better understanding of Van Lang University as well as a greater love for Vietnam. Hopefully, in the future, the two universities will have more opportunities to connect and create learning conditions for students.Lecturers and students from the Faculty of Tourism and J.F. With the theme “Beyond the boundaries”, in this issue, Magazine introduces readers to alumni who constantly go out of their comfort zone to succeed, new business ideas, female interns of Singapore Management University challenges herself at the International Education Institute, etc. Hopefully the stories continue to inspire the community of teachers and learners at Van Lang to overcome the difficult period and find opportunities in challenges.

In July, many sharing actions connected the Van Lang community. As the evolution of the Covid-19 epidemic becomes more and more complicated, the difficulties are not only just a few changes in living, teaching and studying, but also has become a worry about where to live, about our livelihood, about the safety of our small community and the city in particular and the country in general. Sharing a relief gift, a little food or medicine is a simple and meaningful thing that Van Lang people have for each other.

To welcome Course 27, the admission process and many activities have been organized in new method, completely online. For students of old courses, the route to starting a new academic year does not stop when teachers and students will be connected by online form.
