The worship of Hung Kings in Phu Tho was recognized by UNESCO as a representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity in 2012. With pride in the name of the first state of our ancestors, right from the early years of establishment, the Hung Kings have been solemnly worshipped at the campus of the University. On every Hung Kings’ Anniversary, all members of the Van Lang community return, light incense, reminisce about the great contributions of our Ancestors, and direct our hearts back to the roots of the nation.

Every year, on the 10th day of the 3rd lunar month, Van Lang University organizes a solemn ceremony to look back on the roots of the nation, to pay tribute to the Founding Fathers and those who have contributed to the establishment of Van Lang University in the spirit of “Drinking water, remember the source”.
The ceremony was held on April 10, 2022 (the 10th day of the 3rd lunar month of the Year of the Tiger – Nham Dan).
