The Bachelor of Business (Major in Events Management)

Our BA (Hons) Events Management course offers students exciting opportunities to manage a range of different events and secure essential professional experience. That is why students can expect to enjoy excellent career prospects in fields spanning the arts, culture, and music; exhibitions and venues; and the tourism and hospitality industries.

Introduction

Event Management roles require people who are level-headed and well-organized but also enthusiastic, creative, and dynamic. Teamwork is a crucial part of running any successful event and in the second-year students have the chance to create, develop and manage students’ live events as part of a team, working with real clients, venues, and attendees.

Festivals, meetings, conventions, exhibitions, and sports events all make up the events industry, and students will have plenty of opportunities to get a feel for various kinds of events from field trips, to attending live events and expert guest speakers.

An events management course will cover a wide range of business-related topics such as marketing, branding, and merchandising. In addition, it also aims to equip students with necessary skills for them to easily adapt to the fast-paced world of managing events such as PR, budget management, risk identification, and people skills. Therefore, it is possible that students can find jobs in the fields of both business and event management.
